" Hurricane Season"

Sterling Silver Brooch depicting the 2004 Florida Hurricane Season. A piece with special meaning for me. Hurricane Charley took the roof off my home the day after I bought it. Frances and Jeanne paid us a visit as well when we had Blue Tarps holding our roof down. I spent many hours staring at the weather maps and began sketching with that in mind. To think we spent almost 5 years at sea on our boat and we get blown to bits on land in our house. Our beautiful Blue Run made it through just fine tied up in her slip.
